Children of the Philippines

GIRLS
While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us all about life.
There goes the saying. I try to ponder. What did I teach my children, especially my little girl when she was growing? I must admit I learned a lot from her and is learning more. Wait, did I teach her to be strong? Did I teach het to be focused and goal-oriented? Did I teach her to be hot tempered? Did I teach her to be self-centered?
We may never know but we do pass some things we would not want to give to our little children, especially to our little girls. So watch out, young moms.. What they imbibe may have come from you.
Let us consider the story The Folly of a Miracle. In summary, the twins were the ones who manipulated their mother and the grandmother. Perhaps it is because of poverty or pity to their mother but more likely what they had become is what their mother is.
BOYS
BOYS
They say boys are harder to rear. But I think it depends. Some little boys can be very stubborn. Some can be angelic.
There are thoughts that if a boy grows with his mother, he becomes effeminate, or gay. This is very popular in the Philippines, and can also be in other countries, too. But that is not parallel to the thinking that these boys are better or disciplined than boys who lives with a father, or are more close to the fathers.
The little boys in the Philippines are bundles of joy. Of course, they can get unruly but they are a bunch of happy and lively kids always wanting to laugh and play and move.
