71Time seems to run fast. It's only a month's time and the Philippine presidential race will be held. The people will also choose a vice-president and twelve (12) senators.
This hub is an enumeration of presidentiables to choose from. They are listed in alphabetical order (according to surname) and a short information is made available.
The list is made not to commend nor discredit any of the candidate but to provide a clue that could help a voter or a hubber who comes across this hub.
Noynoy Aquino

- a Philippine councilor in Olongapo City

- finished his Bachelor of Arts in Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, which is considered as one of the most orthodox Catholic Universities in the United States
- finished his post-graduate studies in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines

Erap Estrada

- became the Mayor of San Juan
- became a Senator in 1987
- became the Vice President in 1992
Dick Gordon
GORDON, RICHARD
- standard bearer of Bagumbayan VNP
- completed his elementary education at the Colegio de san Juan de Letran in Manila in 1954
- finished his secondary education in in 1962 at the Ateneo de Manila University
- has a degree in Bachelor of Arts, major in History and Government, 1966
- has a degree in Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Philippines College of Law, 1975
- he was elected as the delegate of the first district of Zambales to the 1971 Constitutional Convention, which drafted the 1973 Constitution of the Philippines. He was the youngest delegate in the said convention in 1971
- he was elected Mayor of Olongapo City in 1986
- one of the two local executives who refused to vacate their positions after the government reorganization by President Corazon Aquino
- in 1991, Gordon led a nationwide rally for the retention of the U.S. Bases in the Philippines
- in 1992, Gordon was appointed as the chairman of the SBMA by President Corazon Aquino

Jamby Madrigal

- currently the chairperson of four Senate committees: Committee on Environment, Committee on Youth, Women and Family Relations, Committee on Peace, Unification and Reconciliation, and the Committee on Cultural Communities
Nick Perlas
PERLAS, NICANOR
- an independent candidate
- finished his elementary education at the Ateneo de Manila University in 1964
- Athlete of the Year and the recipient of the Silver Medal of the school's Math and Science Club in 1968 at the Ateneo de Manila University when he was in high school
- graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, major in Agronomy and minor in Agricultural Economics at the Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental
- involved in the opposition of the Bataan nuclear power plant under the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos

My top 2 bets for this year's election are Noynoy and Gibo.
I liked Gibo because he did not use money that much like manny noynoy and estrada. If they had just given that money directly to the ones who really need that then at that point they have helped filipino people. Thanks Bingskee.....

Bingskee, nagustuhan ko si Gibo kasi matalino, may prinsipyo,and most of all he doesn't "bad-mouth" his opponents, hindi dahil wala syang masabi kundi ganu'n lang talaga seguro sya. And that for me is admirable. Ba't mo nga naman sisiraan ang ibang tao nang dahil lang sa politika.. that's traditional politics. Ipinakita lang nya na posible palang iwasan ang "mud-slinging", di ba? " The horse is prepared for the battle but deliverance is of the LOrd." Sana ang choice ko yun din ang sa Panginoon. If not, then His will be done.
