Why Women Tease Men

In the Filipino language, the word for teasing is pang-aakit. There are other Filipino words more biting or distasteful to some but I digress. Through code switching, the title could also be Why Women Flirt but this is not to affront women. This hub is simply a collection of observations and could also serve as a guide.
Experts say that women flirt to to those who obviously stare at them. This is a process of sending a message that a woman likes a guy or he is her type. At certain circumstances, this is an indication that she wants to have sex with the chosen male. But not all teasing or flirtation leads to bed.
Women flirt because of some reasons:
- They want to have the guy they fantasize.
- They want to prove that they have the potential to attract men.
- They want to show that they are more beautiful or more hot than the wife or the partner.
- They want to succeed in their chosen career through flirting with a particular boss.
- They want to get what they want the easiest way.
- They want to have money or things they cannot afford for themselves.
- They want to cure boredom.
- They want to try new things.
And for other women, the reasons are more troubling, and sad:
- They want attention.
- They are sick with nymphomania.
- They have mental illnesses.
- They want to get even from a bad experience.
Whatever reason, men are most likely to succumb without an inkling to the true motives of flirting women. Well, there is nothing to loose for them.
It is not unlikely to see a girl smile at a boy if that is categorized as flirting. But it is contrary to all reasonable expectations to see a married woman to flirt with any man.
The old Filipino culture, according to the old, does not require women to be bold in saying or showing what they feel towards men. It must be that today's blatant showmanship of a Filipino woman's desire through flirtation is a result of suppression. It can also be influenced by other cultures.
Whatever the reason, women should not forget that they have a responsibility to the society and to themselves. This is the social responsibility that women have to do things without inflicting harm, damage or wreckage to others. Flirtation can be a normal process, even with the kingdom fauna, but we are more than animals, and we have the capacity to know what is right from wrong.

Wow. You said it as it is. Nail on the head. Sadly, flirting has broken many marriages. People flirt and then come up with that favourite line "It just happened, one thing led to another". I hope men will be strong and not give into it.

It's ironic how everyone "hates teases" but everyone ends up being a tease a one point or another. Then again, it's so hard to acertain people's true attentions, too. Maybe that's why women tease men and vice versa.
The more beautiful and desirable the woman, the more power she welds!
At times such behavior is irritating to men. The best way out for men is to completely ignore such women and not look at them. This response will be a torture to women and she will eventually give up teasing
as a straight man that is looking and hoping to meet a good woman today, they are certainly a tease now. they play very hard to get, and at my age i am a serious man that does not play games. i am in my late fifties, and i was married twice. i was a very caring and loving husband at the time, but it was not good enough for them. they turned out to be whores, and had i known i would have never married them in the first place. i was very committed to them, and i loved them very much. so you can't blame me for being very bitter now, i hope you understand why i am like this. i just seem to meet all the low life women, instead of the good ones. then again, i am wondering if god is punishing me for a reason that i do not know. i did not do anything wrong on my part, that is for sure. all i ever wanted out of life, was to meet the right woman for me and have a family. i did not think that it would have been so much to ask for, since i am a straight man that would have wanted what was normal. when i see other men that are out there, that had been very lucky to have met the right woman for them and have a family, it hurts me so much. i always wanted that as well. now being alone and single, sucks for me. i have to say that the men that are very lucky, should go to church to pray, and thank god for what they have. it is the men like us that are hurting now.

hello, so very much true. that is sad. i am sorry to hear what happened to your past relationships. maybe they were not the right women, or maybe you are not meant to have a partner. i have been hearing things that women now are becoming more a tease than a wife material. it is not a problem to me as long as these women are not committed, or in a relationship, or is married. i could try to understand that. also, it is a different story when they tease men who are already married or in a relationship.
too bingskee, i never realized how many women could be so dam rotten today, certainly cannot blame myself, for the garbage that they have become. i guess you can say, god punishes certain men like us and gives good luck to other men. why is that by the way?. there are just too many low life loser women out there today. so very sad , that women are like this now. years ago, women were certainly much more educated and meeting women was a lot easier. just remember, i am a straight man that would very much like too meet a good woman for me and share a life with. can't blame me for asking for what is normal, can you? it is the women that i seem too meet that are just rotten today, and have a very bad attitude problem which of course makes it much more difficult for me. lets not forget, many women today are lesbians. and it is very sad, because they just cannot make it with a man. how disgusting is that. so by the way, i certainly cannot blame myself for what they have become. and now it will be much more harder for us straight men that are looking too meet a good woman today.

I think flirting always has a degree of malice involved. And we can always tell. Great insights :D
